AMD just officially released a technical document "AMD Bolton-D2 / D2H / D3 / D4 FCH Databook", adding Bolton-D2H new chipset, which the official model was named "A68H". A68H provides 2 USB 3.0, 10 USB 2.0, and 4 SATA 6Gbps; the A68H price is only $7.
The current mainstream socket for AMD is Socket FM2 + type, backward compatible with FM2, chipset is A78, A88X, although the previous A68, A58 chipset was priced lower and more welcomed by the manufacturers, but they has no USB 3.0 interface, vendors will have to uplift the cost if equiped them with third-party chipset, so AMD needs a low-cost solution to support for USB 3.0 chipset.
